Install OBS Studio on Ubuntu

OBS Studio is an free and open-source live streaming and screen recording application, We can use the OBS with Youtube, Facebook and Any kind of straming server like nginx RTMP, Ant Media like that.

In this post , We will install OBS using ubuntu desktop.

Step 1: Adding OBS Studio Repository

First you need to add the OBS Studio repository by following the commands using root privileges.

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:obsproject/obs-studio

Step 2: Updating ubuntu repository and installing packages

Once OBS Studio repo is updated after that You need to update ubuntu repo and simple install the obs-studio packages using apt-get, To do that use the following the commands.

To update the system current repository.

$ sudo apt-get update

To install OBS Studio

$ sudo apt-get install obs-studio -y
